Ostium, a perpetuals decentralized exchange (DEX) on Arbitrum, allows trading of real-world assets (RWAs) on-chain. Recently, the project launched a points program, leading to a tenfold increase in total value locked (TVL) from $5.5 million to $53.6 million. What sets Ostium apart is its ability to long or short popular market indices (S&P500, Nikkei 225, Dow), commodities (gold, silver, copper, crude oil), or forex (GBP, EUR, JPY) with up to 100-200x leverage. The project raised $3.5 million in funding led by General Catalyst and LocalGlobe in October 2023 and went live last year.
